Vitalik: Predicts that if the Prediction Market can solve the interest problem, it will lead to a large number of hedging use cases and further drive up trading volume
BlockBeats News, August 25th, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin posted on Warpcast, saying, "Regarding the debate on the pros and cons of prediction markets, one important point I would like to add is: Currently, most mainstream prediction markets do not pay interest, which makes them very unattractive in terms of hedging. Because just participating means giving up the guaranteed 4% annual return in USD."
I expect that once this issue is resolved, there will be a large number of hedging applications emerging, and trading volume will further increase."
