Samsung surpasses Nvidia to become the most profitable company in the world

According to Gelonghui, Samsung Electronics disclosed in its preliminary earnings report that its operating profit for the period from April to June this year is expected to reach 89.4 trillion won, approximately 58.4 billion dollars, setting a new quarterly historical record, with a quarter-on-quarter increase of 56%, surpassing analysts' previous average expectation of 84.2 trillion won.

During the same period, Samsung Electronics' revenue is expected to reach 171 trillion won, exceeding the market estimate of 169.2 trillion won, and growing approximately 129% compared to the same period last year. The company plans to announce its complete financial report on July 30, at which time it will disclose net profit and classified data for each business segment.

The report states that Samsung Electronics' quarterly operating profit has surpassed NVIDIA, making it the company with the highest quarterly operating profit in the world. The image shows that in the ranking of quarterly operating profits among major tech companies, Samsung Electronics ranks first with 58.4 billion dollars, NVIDIA ranks second with 53.5 billion dollars, Alphabet (Google) ranks third with 39.7 billion dollars, Microsoft ranks fourth with 38.4 billion dollars, and Apple ranks fifth with 35.9 billion dollars.
