Matrixport Launches Gold Token XAUm Collateralized Loan Product, Further Expanding XAUm Financial Use Cases
BlockBeats News, July 16th, Matrixport announced the official launch of the gold token XAUm collateralized lending product on July 16th, supporting XAUm holders to pledge XAUm in the Matrixport APP to borrow USDC or USDT, with a collateralization ratio of 80%. Matrixport's lending products now support collateralized loans for 10 mainstream assets including BTC, ETH, SOL, STBT, and more.
This move comes after Matrixport announced the establishment of a $3 million XAUm strategic reserve, further solidifying its commitment to "promote the enhancement of XAUm application scenarios." Public information shows that XAUm has previously supported swap functions on protocols such as UniSwap, PancakeSwap, Rooster, and has been integrated into mainstream on-chain protocols with over-collateralization such as Kinza Finance, Avalon Finance, and Curve Lend. By integrating XAUm collateralized lending in the Matrixport APP, it not only expands the financial use cases of the gold token XAUm in centralized institutions but also simplifies the way for XAUm holders to increase capital efficiency.
